South Africa beat Kenya in the Vancouver final and Great Britain in the Edmonton Final.
Due to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, only two tournaments were played in the 2021 series instead of the usual ten.
The number of teams participating was reduced from sixteen to twelve at both tournaments, with many of the top teams not able to travel due to restrictions imposed by their governments.
Scotland along with neighboring rugby minnows England and Wales banded together to form a GB team for this series.
The 2021 HSBC Sevens series was won by South Africa who won both tour events on their way to claiming their fourth World Series title.
